The Equus CT Scan Table with Rotating Carousel is purpose-built for equine CT
imaging, enabling spiral scouts and scans without any electrical or mechanical
interfacing with the CT scanner. The system operates independently of the CT
control console, ensuring no impact on CT manufacturer warranty conditions.
Designed for stability, precision, and animal safety, the Equus table supports
accurate positioning and smooth linear motion during scans, minimising vibration
and patient movement.

System Architecture:
The Equus CT Table consists of three main assemblies:
1. Fixed Cart
•  Under-structure steel frame
•  Integrated electronics cabinet
•  Heavy-duty transport wheels with floor locks
•  Fixed working height for consistent positioning

2.  Carriage (Linear Motion System)
•  Computer-controlled electromechanical carriage
•  Servo motor driven
•  Synchronised with CT couch movement via linear displacement transducer
•  Ramped acceleration and deceleration to minimise vibration
•  Ramp-up / ramp-down distance: 3–6 cm (dependent on scan speed)
Note: Scan range must be set at the CT console to account for ramp-up and
ramp-down travel.

3. Rotating Carousel
•  360° continuous rotation
•  Lateral (transverse) motion: ±77 mm
•  Head, leg, and rump supports mount around the perimeter
•  Allows precise alignment through the CT gantry
